_THE BRIEF
A family loses the mother in a storm. Her son holds on to the raincoat she gave him, and through the journey he finds his way back to his dad. The music had to carry the grief without drowning the story, and leave room for father and son to reconnect.

Piano and string arpeggios rise and fall like waves, so the sea is always present in the music, even in the quiet scenes. In the family moments, the piano sits in the low and mid register: warmer and closer, so the intimacy between father and son is something the audience can feel.
